Each year the membership of the council engages in activities that fulfill their mission such as;
- Engage city governments of the East San Gabriel Valley to issue proclamations at their city council meetings for child abuse prevention month.
- Provide training to the community on techniques and procedures to support parents and families on child abuse prevention as well as training for professionals to learn how to report suspected child abuse and other important skills such as helping parents with protective factors and referral services.
- Distribute child abuse prevention materials to school, libraries, hospitals and programs where parents and children gather.
- Development of materials to assist parents with effective parenting skills.
- Participate in advocacy with state and local legislation.
- Participate in city and state events which demonstrate the importance of prevention efforts.
- Speak to local chambers of commerce, service groups and professional organizations regarding the importance of child abuse prevention.
- Participate in events for children which give them the opportunity to learn about how resist abuse.
- Provide honors for individuals who have engages in activities to prevent child abuse and neglect.
