    Some Common Signs of Depression

    • Prolonged sadness or unexplained crying spells
    • Significant changes in appetite and sleep patterns
    • Irritability, anger, worry, agitation, anxiety
    • Pessimism, indifference
    • Loss of energy, persistent lethargy
    • Feelings of guilt, worthlessness
    • Inability to concentrate, indecisiveness
    • Inability to take pleasure in former interests,
    • social withdrawal
    • Unexplained aches and pains
    • Recurring, persistent thoughts of death or suicide

    • People have varying experiences of depression.
      If symptoms continue, seek help.

    Dealing with Grief

    Everyone experiences grief in their own way.
    It takes time. Some of the thoughts and feelings you experience may include:
  • Denial, disbelief or numbness
  • Anger, guilt, bargaining
  • Depression, emptiness, loneliness
  • Acceptance, and finally adjustment to life as it is now

  • There is a healing process. Help is available.
