preventing child and adolescent suicides.
Special Projects for Individual Councils
These special projects will be geared to the needs of the individual
child abuse councils and will include funds for staffing or materials
for special projects designed and proposed by the individual child
abuse councils in Los Angeles County. These special projects will
focus on one of the following identified goals: 1) Recruiting and
Retaining Membership; 2) Communications Improvements; 3) Strategic
Planning; 4) Facilitating Child Abuse Council Board Retreats; or
5) Creation of a Speakers Bureau for Child Abuse Council Meetings
and Conferences; or 6) Another "capacity building" special project
identified by an individual council. Individual councils may apply
for a maximum of $3,000 annually and will be required to submit
an itemized budget for their proposed project. The decision on which
special projects to fund will be made annually by the Board of Directors.
