General Description and Council History
The Foothill Child Abuse & Family Violence Prevention Council was established in March of 1986 as a result of a group of professionals and volunteers seeking to address the needs of abused children. The mission of the Council is to bring together concerned individuals in the Foothill area to positively impact the service delivery system for abused and neglected children. This mission is carried out in regular meetings in which a cooperative spirit prevails, enabling the concerned individuals to: promote networking among member and agencies to best take advantage of local resources; share concerns about services for family violence and abuse children; to work together to develop and implement plans to best impact those concerns; and to build a volunteer/advocate program.
